Better Homes and Gardens State Fragrance Contest

The past few weeks I’ve been working on a very fun project!

I’ve been selected as the blogger to represent North Dakota in the Better Homes and Gardens State Fragrance contest.

Better Homes and Gardens has designed an affordable line of wax warmers and wax fragrance cubes to be sold exclusively at Walmart and Walmart.com.

A blogger has been selected from every state (and the District of Columbia) to create a unique fragrance blend to illustrate our state.

Then the fun begins! Starting today head on over to The Better Homes and Gardens Facebook Page and vote for your favorite! (I really hope that you choose North Dakota!)

Let me tell you a little bit about the fragrance that I created. I named my fragrance North Dakota Sunset. It contains  French Lilac, as the night air in June is alive with the scent of lilacs blooming everywhere,  Apple Strudel to represent all of the German grandmas baking kuchen,  Soft Amber Cashmere to represent the “Amber Waves of Grain” (moving to North Dakota really brought that phrase to life in my mind!) I topped it off with Line Dried Linen, to represent the clean fresh air we enjoy! As the cubes melt together you can enjoy an artistic representation of a North Dakota Sunset, once all of the wax is melted, a lovely, rosy color remains, like the last, lingering light of day!

I’d love it if my readers would vote for my wonderful state! (With a population of just over 600,000, I think we’re going to need outside help to win!)

If my fragrance wins the most votes by the end of the month (August 31) I’ll win a trip to Better Homes and Gardens Headquarters! But, you will win too! If I win, I also win (10) $25 gift cards to give away to my readers! Plus, by voting, you are automatically entered to win a warmer and wax cubes (10 will be given away).

So, go ahead and vote for North Dakota here, and tell your friends, neighbors, and grandmas to do the same!
