Getting Our Dinners Back on Track With emeals

eMeals Meal Plans

I’ve been an subscriber for about a year now. I’m a pretty good cook, and I have stacks and stacks of cookbooks, but I was getting bogged down with meal planning. And by bogged down, I mean that I stopped doing it.

I went through a stage of just making our family favorites, but then we all got tired of spaghetti and chili. I went through a cookbook phase where everyday featured a new recipe. That worked about half the time.

Then, I hopped onto the career track. Everything changed.

My husband has a lot of evening meetings, so he comes home from the office earlier than I do, handling the after school rush. This means he also cooks dinner.

He is a pretty good cook, but he needs very explicit instructions (he is a trained engineer). For a while I was giving him oureMeals.complans for the week, and having him choose a meal for each day. This proved to be more complicated than he wanted. Then he went through an experimental phase in which he cooked all of the foods he had wanted for dinner in the past 18 years, but I never made for him. The problem was, he was really the only person who enjoyed these meals.

So, we’re back to Our family prefers the recipes from the Classic Plan. The foods are mostly classic comfort foods, made mostly from scratch. I can tweak the recipes to fit our tastes. There are 7 dinner menus provided each week., but we almost always have a leftover day, or pizza day, or a night out at a restaurant; so I usually trim the least desirable meal off of the list.

I enjoy that provides me with side dishes as well as a main dish. This alone has added a lot of variety to our diet.

And the food? It tastes really, really good!

I love that I can make one big trip to the grocery store each week with an organized list and then I have all of the ingredients on hand to make dinners for the week! This saves us a lot of last minute trips to the grocery store!

All of the meal plans on the site offer a sample menu, give it a try and see if it works for your family. Solve the Dinnertime Dilemma with eMeals Meal Planning
