  1. This is so true and so beautiful, Pam. I think we moms often joke about how some of these things would have been handy to know in advance. But like you said, looking back at life since Kidzilla came along, I don’t think I’d really want to know anything ahead of time. Reminds me of lines from an old Garth Brooks song…”I’m glad I didn’t know the way it all would end, the way it all would go…I could’ve missed the pain but I’d have had to miss the dance.”

  2. -That the teen years are harder than the Terrible Twos.
    -That my house would be in a perpetual mess forEVER.
    -That my heart could split into three pieces and walk around outside of my body.

    • Amen on the splitting heart! Thankfully either my kids are such awful twos that the teen thing seems easy, or they are easy teens. Either way, I’ll take it!
