Back to School Time Does a Number on Moms Too!

I think I’ve officially come off of the “Back to School High”. As much as I love Summer and spending all kinds of time with my kids, sending them all back to school is kind of a relief.

I like my kids on a schedule. It is really nice to not have them grazing in my kitchen all.day.long.

And then a week or so of school goes by and the activities start. Dances, football games, Cross Country meets, Boy Scouts, soccer practice, Confirmation class, tutoring sessions.

I’ll admit it. I had a melt down yesterday afternoon.

It probably did not help that it was 80 degrees, and I spent the ENTIRE day pulling toddlers off of my kitchen table.

I think it is the toddler part that is pushing me over the edge.

However, it is also the toddler part that finally allows me to buy dresses and pink and frilly and dream of endless shuttling to dance and gymnastics practice.

We moms are gluttons for punishment aren’t we?

Chime in! How is the school year going for you? Has the shine worn off yet? Any tips for keeping toddlers off of tables? You know I’d love to hear from you!
