I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Zarbee’s Naturals. I received a promotional item and a product sample as a thank you for participating.
Springtime can be brutal for our family. Here in North Dakota, we do not have trees budding out, or flowers blooming yet. . .but we all still share some seasonal congestion. The wind and the dust and the debris that was left to mold under a layer of snow leads to congestion and seasonal suffering.
There is not a whole lot we can do about it. I try to run the vacuum a bit more often this time of year to keep the dust out of the carpet and I dust a little more and keep our hard surfaces swept.
I’m a coffee drinker, so I feel like the steam from the coffee and the warmth on my throat is soothing. I’m sure if I enjoyed tea, it would be even more effective.
What I try not to do is take too many medications for seasonal suffering. Most over the counter pharmaceuticals end up making me tired, or thirsty, or groggy or all three. It does not good to have no congestion if it means I want to sleep the day away!
I was happy to sample Zarbee’s Naturals Seasonal Relief. This tiny little tablet contains Butterbur. . .a plant widely used in Europe to support congestion. Zarbee’s is hoping that its use catches on in the US. I like that the relief is effective, and does not cause me to be drowsy, jittery or thirsty. I will likely be adding this to my arsenal for fighting seasonal congestion.
