“Sweet Independence” With Hershey’s Simple Pleasures
You all know that I have rules about my chocolate. Not only does my chocolate have to taste good, I don’t want a bunch of junk mixed up into it! So I was beyond thrilled when I received an email invite to sample the new Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates. With a name like “Simple Pleasures” I just knew that these chocolates would meet my needs!
As you all know, I’ve had a pretty stressful few weeks. I had to say good bye to my favorite uncle, had to spend time away from my kids, I haven’t seen my husband in almost two weeks, and I’m trying to prepare for a major blog road trip. While all this is going on, there is still laundry to do, dinner to make, toddlers to snuggle and teens to guide.
Last night, however, I came home to a box of chocolates on my front porch. That brought a smile to my face! Of course, I opened it in front of the kids, so I had to share a few pieces. We decided to sample the Milk chocolate with chocolate creme’ filling. Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates have 30 percent less fat than the average leading milk chocolates. However, I did not miss a bit of that fat! I can sniff out a “diet” food a mile away. I just don’t eat them. I like to keep it real. I want to and need to lose weight, but I would rather cut my serving sizes than eat fake foods.
The Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates are individually wrapped disks that are slightly bigger than a quarter. A serving size is six chocolates, and is just right! (That is 180 calories, and 5 Weight Watchers Points if you are counting. I was more than satisfied with four pieces!) The creamy center is indulgent without being cloying. The chocolate shell is just what you would expect from Hershey’s, good, tasty chocolate!
This summer Hershey’s is asking us to declare and celebrate our “Sweet Independence”. I can declare my Sweet Independence to indulge in delicious chocolate and feel good about it and I am declaring sweet independence from worry for a while! I’m heading out on vacation with my friends and family and I want to enjoy them, not be overly concerned that everything is “just right”.
So, chime in! What will you declare “Sweet Independence” from? Are you excited to try Hershey’s Simple Pleasures chocolates?
*Disclosure: I was sent each of the varieties of Hershey’s Simple Pleasures to sample and to facilitate this post. However, as usual, all opinions are 100% my own!
