Some Thoughts

Shorties!
I think we are enjoying one of the nicest and prettiest autumns that I can remember since moving to North Dakota. It could just be my season of life, or the fact that the twins are old enough to be out and about and crunching in the leaves and running and climbing at the pumpkin patch. Maybe it is that my life is a little less hectic since enrolling the little boys in the school in our neighborhood, which is within walking distance, freeing me up from daily drop offs and pick ups. Maybe I know for a fact that winter will arrive, and it will be cold and we will have snow. . .so I should just enjoy mild weather and the chance to absorb vitamin d while I can!
My oldest has a job. And a driver’s permit. I’m old.
My middle schooler is enjoying some long awaited school success. I can see the change in
him daily and it warms my heart. Confidence is a powerful thing. Turning in homework certainly helps as well.
I have a good friend involved in opening a brand new FM radio station. Her excitement is contagious and it brings me back to my days in college radio. I also got to give her a Twitter tutorial, which was fun. Social media is always growing and changing, which keeps me on my toes, albeit a few steps behind most of the time.

Emily LOVED the Zip line at Papa's Pumpkin Patch this year!
Yesterday I finished up my tasks on the HP Printer Ink Challenge. The results were more surprising than I expected. I’m working on a write up of my experiences, along with a remake of my color block puzzle. . .keep watching.
Don’t forget that I have two giveaways going on right now! One is for a combination smoke/carbon Monoxide Detector from First Alert. The other is for a family four pack of tickets to see Disney Live! Three Classic Fairy Tales at Bismarck Civic Center, November 5. Both are easy Rafflecopter entries. . .so pop on over and enter!
I also have been doing Tot School with the twins. We’ve had a lot of fun with our Pumpkin Unit, so be sure and check back for details. I also want to Revive my “My Life With Twins” feature. What twin topics would you like to see me cover?
I also have some great iPad apps on deck to review as well. Plus, with Christmas coming up you won’t want to miss some great gift ideas!
There is so much great stuff coming up that you are not going to want to miss any of it! Follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Google Friend Connect to make sure you don’t miss a thing!
Chime in! How is your autumn shaping up? Have you been involved in any special projects? Are your kids enjoying school? What are your greatest challenges? Do you have any topics that you would like to see covered here? You know I’d love to hear from you!
I love the picture that includes YOU with the kids!

Great post!
I can’t wait for the boys to be running around in leaves!
We have incredible autumns here, it’s my favorite season!
How nice the school is within walking distance!!!! That is great!!
Jack is loving school. I’m so glad we decided to start him this year. We knew we’d know within a few weeks and we for sure made the right choice!!

I’m glad Jack is enjoying school! That makes things easier, no? It was a tough decision to change schools for our little ones, but I knew when I walked them to school the first day that we, too had made the right choice. I sure wish this Mom thing was a bit more clear cut!

Thanks for sharing the photos! We’ve had a pretty nice fall here too. My only complaint is that we’ve been a bit too busy to properly enjoy it. The frost on the ground in the mornings is telling me we need to get out a couple more times before the long dark comes, you know?

I think you need to get a few more hikes under your belt before you have to switch to snowshoes! Did you have any wild animals in your neighborhood last month?
